All products come with a free copy of the VisiCal software suite that allows the user to configure, calibrate, scan, monitor or program them with the push of a button.

VEI has also provided Electric Power Utilities with custom software and software/hardware hybrid solutions for special applications.  One recent successful project is a network management system that continuously scans 300 substations and immediately reports problems over the corporate LAN so they can be quickly identified and resolved.  

Another recent project is a Demand Response system that allows the utility to directly shed load from large customer sites in an emergency.  The Demand Response system utilizes the corporate LAN to communicate with customer sites over radio and satellite networks.  It uses a variety of protocols to interact directly with the customer's Energy Management System to shed that portion of load the customer has put under utility control by prior agreement.
